Sara Slayden, LMFT
California LMFT #126697
Colorado LMFT #0002874
I received my Bachelor's Degree in Clinical Psychology in 2015 from Loyola Marymount University and my Graduate Degree in Clinical Psychology from Pepperdine University in 2018. I completed Practicum with Airport Marina Counseling Service where training was focused around a Psychodynamic approach. I received further psychodynamic training in Mentalization-Based Treatment, including the Anna Freud MBT Training.
While completing graduate school, I began working with OCD and anxiety related issues as an Exposure Coach. During this time, I became passionate about learning how patterns created the processes that perpetuated OCD and anxiety cycles. I began to value a balance between therapeutic consistency and seeing each client as intricately unique and deserving of care and attention. Following graduate school, I completed my licensing hours by working as a group, family, and individual therapist for clients with OCD and anxiety related issues. Since completing licensure in 2021, I have continued to focus on working with individuals and families navigating the difficulties of OCD and anxiety.
I am currently licensed as a Marriage and Family Therapist in California and Colorado.
